Nashville, Tenn. (www.MercadoCristiano.com) En una ceremonia llega de gala y emociones, los Premios DOVE fueron entregados el miércoles pasado. Los que recibieron premios son artistas de la talla de Houghton, Steven Curtis Chapman, Rebecca St. James, CeCe Winans, Smokie Norful and Darlene Zschech.
En la categoría «Mejor Álbum en español» el ganador fue Te Amo Dios; Praise Street Worship Band; Dave Moody, James Cobble Jr., Wesley Pritchard, Eulises Canada, Nelson McSwain; Lamon Records.
«La Pasión de Cristo» ganó el premio de album intrumental. Otros galardones importantes fueron «Mejor Cantante Masculino del Año» otorgado a Jeremy Camp y «Mejor Cantante Femenina del Año» para Nicole C. Mullen. Por otro lado «Blessed Be Your Name»; interpretada por Matt Redman fue reconocida como la «Mejor Canción de Adoración del Año».
La ceremonia será transmitida por televisión recién en el mes de Junio por cadena nacional en los Estados Unidos, esperando una audiencia de por lo menos el 75%, según indicaciones de los productores.
El show presentó a Casting Crowns, The Crabb Family, Kierra “Kiki” Sheard, Selah, J Moss, BarlowGirl, Bethany Dillon, Natalie Grant, Watermark, Chris Tomlin, David Crowder Band, Matt Redman, Tonéx, Skillet y Denver & The Mile High Orchestra.
